In vein of the classic EC horror comics and The Creepshow, this is Sophisticated Lions first fore into the comic book vertical. This collection of ghastly stories is brought to life through haunting imagery and minimal dialogue, allowing the art to breathe and the audience to immerse themselves in the horror. The stories featured in this first issue include: Living Like Kings, Spell It Out, and Lost Dog.

Living Like Kings: A down on his luck pumpkin farmer and a strange creature form a symbiotic bond to improve each other's lives at a bloody cost.

Spell It Out: A halloween slumber party goes awry when a ouija board summons a host of demonic spirits.

Lost Dog: A fun filled night of trick or treating between a boy and his dog takes a turn for the worse when the boy goes missing.
